Tank top and bikini season is almost here and while you may be working those abs and sculpting those legs (or should be perhaps) what are you doing about your arms? Sleek, toned arms are a bikini season boost that will help make all of your summer season fashions look even better than before and the good news is there’s still time to work towards that goal, starting today.

Yes, it will involve weights but don’t worry, these simple exercises won’t leave you looking like Popeye, just help you achieve the kind of beautiful biceps and sexy shoulders that just beg to be shown off!

Whether you are at home or at the gym these simple moves are quick to learn and quick to execute. Do a good 10 minute warm up before you begin and then repeat each sequence two or three times per session. Start off with a dumbbell weight you are comfortable with – 5 to 10Lbs is fine – and then increase the poundage as you get stronger:

Front Raises

Start the move with your feet together and a dumbbell in each hand. Raise both arms and stretch them out in front of you, with your wrists and shoulders aligned. Slowly raise your right arm until it is level with your ear. Lower it and then repeat the same move on your left side. Complete 10 reps, five on each side and then rest.

Row and Press

Begin standing with feet together and the dumbbells in front of your thighs. Raise the weights together in a pulling motion, allowing your elbows to go out to the side and raise the weights to shoulder level. Then rotate your hands up, bring your arms into an overhead press and then release. Repeat for a set of 10 reps.

Squat and Curl

This is a great move because it not only targets your arms but works the thighs and butt as well!

Begin with a weight in each hand and your feet hips width apart. Bring your hands up to your shoulders to complete a basic bicep curl and then slowly lower them before bringing yourself back and down into a squat. Repeat for 10 reps.
